 .:Let the deceit begin:.

They arrived in his room quite swiftly, his speed was definitely improving. He kept his hands on her waist, a mischievous grin on his features. He wondered how long it would take for the girl to realize he was there. Not very long, probably. He had to resist the urge to bite into her neck, which was clearly exposed. But he had to keep himself in check. It was hard though, when he could hear all that blood pumping through her veins.

A thank you would be appreciated, he whispered, directly into her ear.

He grinned again, knowing he would have shocked her somewhat. He breathed on her neck, just to get her nervous. He could have her if he wanted to, but he wanted to mess with her, just for the heck of it. After all, he needed some amusement.

((man. William is freaky.))

She blinked at the sudden change in her surroundings. She was definitely no longer in the alleyway. The punks were long gone, and she was now in a room of quite exquisite decor. It took her a moment to let it all sink in. While she was pondering her new surroundings, a voice sounded in her ear.

A thank you would be appreciated.

She must have jumped at least ten feet into the air. It was only then that she felt the hands placed on her waist and the soft breath on her neck. It made her shudder slightly. Anger seeped through her and she whirled round, coming face to face with none other than a Dandy. Something like a snarl escaped her lips and she jerked back, holding up her blades.

Demon filth, she growled, eyes flashing.

He mocked a false look of pain and put his hand over his chest, where his heart would have been...if he had a heart. She was no threat to him, he wasn't afraid of her. But she, she should definitely be afraid, and if she wasn't already, she would be, eventually.

Sweetheart, I'm hurt. This is the thanks I get for saving your sorry hide? I could always send you back you know, he said, in him smooth, enchanting voice.

He stroked the fur that was draped over his shoulder, looking at the floor before making direct eye contact with her. His gaze was piercing and unavoidable. Yet, his eyes didn't hold hatred, anger nor cruelty. Instead, they held a light happiness, a small hint of joy. Not what one would expect. But William was a good actor. How do you think he managed to convince all those boys into joining the Dandies?

You know, you could put those away. After all, why would I have gone to the trouble of saving you if all I was going to do was hurt you myself?

He smirked. He knew he had her there.

He was smirking. She didn't like that smirk. But for some reason, she couldn't tear her eyes away from his gaze. And his voice, his voice seemed to echo throughout her head. Her face, however, remained scowling. Her hate for vampires, was NOT going to change just because of one's 'supposed' good deed. He probably had some sort of plan when he saved her.

Why did you save me then? she asked warily.

She lowered her blades only slightly. If the vampire did decide to attack, she did not want to be caught off guard. This was strange to her. Being civil to a vampire was usually out of the question with her. It felt unusual, abnormal. She felt different. Perhaps he had done something to her, messed with her head. Or perhaps, she was just curious to hear the other side of the story, for once.

He shrugged, leaning against a wall. Taking out a rose from his front pocket, he twirled it in his fingers as it turned black.

You intrigued me, he said simply, flashing her a rare smile.

It was a charming smile. It would have been more charming if his fangs hadn't been there. As he held his gaze, he started to prod his way into her mind, secretly, so that she wouldn't become suspicious. If he suceeded, her memories would definitely come flooding back, and he could use it to his advantage. He prodded, repeatedly, trying to worm his way into her head.

She looked at him in confusion. What could he possibly mean? As she was about to voice the many questions running through her mind, she felt a sharp stab in the back of her head. Suddenly, her all her thoughts, her past, her deepest fears all came rushing forward, as pain wracked her body.

Shanice! Kill him! Stake his heart! he brother shouted.
As she stared down at the boy she hesitated. It was the first time she had really looked at the one she was about to kill. There was fear in his eyes, and something about him, just triggered her memory.
Josh? she whispered, her eyes widening.
Before she knew what was happening, she was thrown aside.
DAMIEN! she shrieked, as she watched those fangs plunge into her brother's neck. Damien's eyes dulled, as his body went limp.
No... she whispered to herself, eyes wide with horror. Her hand grasped the stake beside her.
NO! She threw the stake and it flew, embedding itself in the vampire's heart. She cried to herself as inhuman shrieks filled the air.

Her eyes flew open as long forgotten tears ran down her cheeks. The world around her was spinning and everything was starting to fade to black. Stumbling forward, she let out a soft whimper, before everything turned dark.

Moving swiftly forward, he caught her in his arms before she could hit the floor. Oh god. This wasn't good. He'd definitely overdone it. Gently, he picked her up and set her on his bed. He'd never expected a human to have as dark a past as he did. For the first time in a long time, his eyes softened as he looked at her. Perhaps, he was beginning to reconsider his plan. With a gloved hand, he brushed the hair out of her face.

Sleep, all will be better come dawn, he whispered, looking at the boarded windows.

He would be getting no sleep tomorrow. Settling himself on the edge of the bed, he brought up one of his knees to his chest, resting his arm on it, thoughtfully staring into space. His own memories returned to him, haunting his eyes. But he remained silent, lost in his world.

Her eyes cracked open, her cheeks stained with the mark of the dried tears. The thick black eyeliner she'd applied before had run down her face, leaving it a black mess. As soon as she sat up, everything came rushing back into her mind all at once. A wave of pain overtook her head and she groaned, flopping back on the pillow. She closed her eyes again, frowning.

When she finally reopened them, she noticed the figure at the edge of the bed. It was William. Normally, her first thought would have been on how to get out of there, but the throbbing in her head prevented her from thinking clearly. Instead, she wondered why he was there. Surely the leader of a famed vampire clan had better things to do?

He twitched slightly as he felt the bed shift and the girl groan. But he figured she was doing it in her sleep and remained in his position, which was now starting to get rather uncomfortable. But it's not like he cared. Comfort meant nothing to him anymore, whether it was physical or emotional. A sigh escaped his lips, between the two sharp fangs that protruded ever so slightly from his mouth.

His gaze travelled round the room, but he wasn't really looking at anything. His mind was elsewhere. The bed shifted again, this time discreetly, and his head turned back to look at the girl, who was now awake. The Dandy leader stood up and walked to her side, eyes expressionless.

I'm sorry, he said stiffly.
